  8. I once tried some new blusher when I was about 15 and end ed up looking a bit like a clown! Never again, I didn't use blusher for years afterwards!

It's all about wearing deep red lipstick for the first time to an event with a professional photographer, along with everyone taking photos on their phones, and in all of the photos I am smiling with lipstick on my teeth! And no-one told me!! Now I either wear a paler colour lipstick or make sure I blot a lot before I go out! :) Lx

  32. someone told me if you have run out of lippy using beetroot can be an alternative - getting it all over my face wasnt my idea of a good look and it dyed the crinkles in my lips so that even when I managed to wash it off it still showed up like red veins on my lips (Kim Styles)

  51. I put a blonde dye through my hair and it was illuminous! ended up having to strip the colour and start again - costing me over a hundred pounds and some serious embarrassment until it was done!

  52. Bleaching just my fringe - the hairdresser over-bleached it so it was almost grey next to my dark hair it looked ridiculous!!

  57. listening to a hairdresser who convinced me to perm my already curly hair. I was like crystal tipps with triangle hair...and that was when I was relatively tame!
