Indesit 9Kg 1400rpm Washing Machine Review

When my trusty pack horse of a washing machine decided to spring a leak, I knew it was time for some radical changes. It took a lot of research but my starting point was clear; I needed a large drum and a great spin. With a household of 5 and not a lot of free time to wait for washing to dry, okay being honest here, I'm too lazy to be organised enough to cope with house work. Yup, I'm the worlds greatest procrastinator, or at least that's the medal I'm aiming for.

My last machine was a 7kg drum and although it made a dent in the pile of cast off clothing, I was looking for that magic wand that cleared everything. I did like the 1400 rpm speed, the clothes came out practically dry. One of the few machines I found that had no bad reviews and ticked all the boxes was the Indesit PWE91472W.

It boasted reductions of up to 60% energy with 50% less washing time compared to traditional wash cycles at full load, (A+ rated energy; A rated wash; B rated spin) 1400 rpm and a massive 9kg load capacity. A variety 16 different of wash cycles; such as  wool, delicate and half-load, as well as special settings for duvets and a 15 minute express wash for a 1.5kg load (ideal for those last minute outfit changes!). It has a smart sensor measures the load you put in and optimises cycle duration, temperature and washing phases to ensure your always get the best possible care while keeping costs to a minimum. A time delay feature of up to 24 hours so you can run it when you're out of the house and there's also no delay at the end of a cycle before the door unlocks, so the option is there to get straight on housework or getting ready.

The energy consumption per cycle is 1.35 kWh and comes with 5 years parts and 1 year labour guarantee, for the princely sum of £296, which can be written off whole-heartily as an investment. The actual size of the beast is H85 X W59.5 X D60 cm and a whooping 72kg , which was slightly deeper than my previous one resulting in a noticeable protrusion into the floor space.

Any emotional attachment to my previous clothes slave was vanished when I switched on the machine for the first time. Unfortunately the snazzy LED screen didn't say hello (Next time Indesit!!), but it did beep in a quietly endearing way. Selection a program is a simple task with a flow chart style option menu on the washing machine. The Led screen displays the effects of any changes you make, and the option to choose whether to save water energy or time, would make it handy for eco friendly, those on a water meter and those in a rush.

Better yet was the complete silence, you can have a conversation in the same room without talking over it, honestly the kettle is louder! A room away it sounds like a next door neighbours hoovering. I love that there's one thing in the house happy to just quietly do its chores, without squealing and moaning! I made a little video to show the noise volume, obviously its my first video, so its pretty poor editing, and it will also depend on the volume you listen to it at (try and get your volume to a setting of normal conversation before playing the video).

On the whole I could thing of a more satisfying way to spend such a large sum, well I really could think of more ways but none as practical! Both my ears and my pockets are going to appreciate this purchase for a long time to come. +Indesit Service  +Indesit Brand  +Washing Machine Repair Company +Washing Machine & Dishwasher Repairs London +Washing Machines,Loading Washing Machine +Washing machine/ Kitchen Appliances Repair Service
