Lanark Local Classes & Activities

As the honourably elected  representative for Healthy Working Lives within my latest employment. I was tasked with finding out more about local activities that could count as exercise. Being fundamentally weak and definitely unable to undertake any form of strenuous movement, I thought outside the box.

I decided to include a more varied approach, nestled between badminton and hockey are those pastimes more suited to gentler pace. Walking, bowls, camera clubs; all will have a small manageable amount of exercise, but under the guise of a potential hobby.

I prefer the idea of joining a group rather than a class, it provides a generally more relaxed form of socialisation and is often something a person can enjoy in a more varied situation. Who wouldn't rather be exploring new places with a camera; as opposed to staring a wall while being shouted at by an overachieving leotard clad instructor.

Now I'm fully aware I probably have very few followers that are local to me, but I thought there might be some interest in the local classes I found. Even if the only time this post is found is by a spurned love branching out from Facebook stalking, I still hope it will be helpful.
