The good housekeeping website had teamed up with Border Biscuits to offer a chance to win one of five biscuit hampers. This was in aid of Border Biscuits and +Great British Bake Off finalist James Morton having teamed up for the Big Baking Bonanza; a nationwide search for the best biscuit recipe. Competitions are nothing new on the Border Biscuit website, at the start of the year voting for a favourite biscuit
netted some lucky person an Ipad.
I love that a small local business can be a global success filling supermarket orders and private with the same great tasting yummy biscuits. Volunteer work is encouraged amongst staff and 10% of the companies profits are donated to charity. Border Biscuits is a well known and respected company in Lanark and the surrounding area.
My win included a gorgeous wicker picnic basket filled with goodies. A months worth to an average person, but to this over flowing house old of 5, I don't see them lasting so long. Queue up the puppy eyes, loving sentiments and hopeful grasping fingers.
Biscuits from all three of the main ranges are included in the hamper: Classic, Oatrageously Tasty and Deliciously Different, as well as the Real Fruit Shortbread. As well as a huge thick Border Biscuits apron, I am very glad I'm tall, or it would be a lovely dress.
I would love to say I can be relied on to give a full and honest review of every biscuit in the hamper, but lets be honest the munching of more than a few have already occurred. Extinction of the buttery delights is a foregone conclusion. However here are a few helpful links to enter some of their competitions for yourself.
