I'm a +BzzAgent +BzzAgent Den +BzzAgent Denise and love the benefits of testing new products for free and being the first to find out about new gadgets and gimmicks.
This campaign is for +Right Guard Xtreme Invisible , and involves two free full-size samples of Right Guard Xtreme Invisible anti-perspirant deodorant, pass along coupons and a black card to show your own comparisons between Right Guard and other deodorants.
Right Guard Xtreme Invisible’s claims to have Triple Stain Protection formula is powder free to prevent white marks and uses emulsion-based active ingredients that wash out easily to prevent the formation of white, yellow and oily stains on clothing. In addition it also has a healthy boast of fighting body odour at the source and offering protection against wetness for up to 72 hours.
Here's a familiar site for any black top wearers!
The staining build up shown clearly on an old white top
The sprays have lovely redesigned packaging, the container is the same basic shape as before but the distinctive black and purple/pink tin makes it stand out. All the required logo's are in place to let the consumer know that its 72 hour protection and preventative staining for clothes of all colours.
This is the black card included in the Bzz campaign kit showing the marks left by different deodorants. The Vaseline one being the only one to show staining on black, and no visible difference between the two Right Guard sprays. Which does beg the question if this is such a new thing for Right Guard why are previous versions the same?
Okay so straight off the bat, those are some pretty expansive boasts, and I must admit to being doubtful that they would deliver.
The scent of this deodorant would never be my first choice, it is very heavy when first applied and smells like a chemical cleaner. However the scent disappears very quickly, ideal if you wear additional perfume, but not to everyone's taste. The staining on clothes isn't not a problem with this deodorant, but I don't think Right Guard ever had a problem with this.
The biggest concern for me was the 72 hour claim, high numbers means high expectations. Unfortunately, for me, it just didn't perform. A night out dancing required 4 top-up sprays for 6 hours, and even lazing around the house I was left feeling damp and sticking within a couple of hours. I found it quite disappointing that it couldn't manage a full day, and 72 hours seemed a ridiculous claim.
With the unseasonally sunny Summer days, I have felt more disappointed than ever in this deodorant. The lack of staining is nice but I wouldn't sacrifice dryness for the sake of a few t-shirts. I'm lucky if the deodorant lasts 3 hours never mind the claimed 72. I would love to know who actually tested it, because it doesn't even last having a lazy day on the couch, how is it expected to handle gym time!
Very perplexed about this deodorant, especially when Right Guard is usually so good!
My usual nit-picking aside, even celebrities battle against the joyous problem of sweating, and us mere mortals are no different.
