As promised here is my second box review for Box of OMG; whilst there are similarities in products, the content seems much fuller and more rounded.
This is the second Box of OMG to land on our doorsteps. From the individuals who brought us Box of Awesome and aimed mainly at girls. Advertised primarily through social media sites, this is definitely growing in popularity. Companies have saw the proof of advertising in the first Boxes and have an interesting collection in this one. The box is filled with goodies, collectables and digital options.
First up is two glow in the dark bracelets with connectors, which also allow for the transformation into necklaces. Great fun for parties, camping or general wear. The usual OMG sharing cards, competition information and sticker appear again, with no information change from the first Box.
There is also a Cathy Cassidy bookmark detailing her Chocolate Box series of books with links to both her website and her Youtubepage. A fold out leaflet all about her books, including an excerpt from Coco Caramel and a mini biography of the author. On the back are reviews of her novel Summers Dream, and information on competitions. As an added bonus there's a recipe for Panda Cupcakes, which is quite a nice interactive option to encourage keeping the leaflet.
Also included in the box is the almost obligatory Moshi Monsters sticker pack, and a pack of +Moshi Monsters temporary tattoo stickers. There's a nice hand up for charities in the form of pin badges for +Pudsey Bear, containing Pudsey and Blush characters. Being for Children in Need this is very appropriate advertising and suitable to raise awareness for a children's charity through a children's product box.
Another charity also scores highly with its yellow rubber charity bracelet. From Childline it has the text 'Whatever Your Worry' and the +childline phone number.
Last up is the great market genius behind +Moshi Monsters Magic Choc. Chocolate and a highly collectable toy series. These two commodities have collided to form a box of outstanding child quietness. It contains three sachets with discs of chocolate (white, milk and dark) to be made into Moshi characters as show in a helpful step-by-step instruction leaflet. The possibilities are endless (think edible +Play Doh), we stuck with a penguin type creature and a bear. Whilst being easy to mix the chocolate had a tendency to overheat and stick to fingers (and everything else!), however it was perfectly edible and that definitely added to the fun. Follow them on Facebook or Twitter for ideas and competitions, and buy a copy of Moshi Monsters Magazine to get a free pack of Magic Choc!
This box was much more impressive than the first one, the contents more wide ranging and varied. Box of OMG has also added to their FAQ's a little titbit of information:
"As you know we LOVE books and there is always a book in every Box of OMG! Team OMG:) is fluttering away in the background to get a #TotallyOMG book out to you asap!! This may take a little bit of time - but rest assured it is on its way (plus some extra goodies!!)"
Fingers crossed its the featured author Cathy Cassidy, because her series looks ideal for this age range, in fact all age ranges.
In other news... There's another competition from Box of OMG... A years subscription (6 boxes) for playing with a sticker.
For more information click here, but in short send them a photograph of where you would put your Box of OMG sticker the weirder and wackier the better!
You know I'm going to enter this one, good luck all round though! :D
Also another digital box has gone live.... +X Factor UK sensation Diana Vickers has put an exclusive remix of her new single in the digital Box of OMG! Log in and download it while stock lasts!
This review just made me exited for a box of OMG!!!!! :-)
