Box of OMG ~ Box 3

This is the third Box of OMG  to land on our doorsteps. From the individuals who brought us Box of Awesome and aimed mainly at girls. Advertised primarily through social media sites, this is definitely growing in popularity. Companies have saw the proof of advertising in the first Boxes and have an interesting collection in this one. The box is filled with goodies, collectables and digital options.

Like in previous boxes there is a Moshi Monsters sticker pack, with 5 stickers one of which is quartered into smaller ones and a holographic sticker. There's also a Moshi Monsters mash up trading cards pack with 8 cards.
A leaflet for Paradise Wildlife Park is also included, and will grant access for one child when accompanied by a paying adult. Identical to the BOA voucher, barring the feminine pink colour. A particularly nice touch as it was the location for a special hand out of boxes by Box of OMG. The disadvantage to this great offer is the location, just out side of London isn't local to everyone!
There is also a Cathy Cassidy fold out leaflet, all about her books, including an excerpt from Coco Caramel and a mini biography of the author. On the back are reviews of her novel Summers Dream, and information on competitions. As an added bonus there's a recipe for Panda Cupcakes, which is quite a nice interactive option to encourage keeping the leaflet.
Regular subscribers will be happy to know that after last months hiccup (see here!); The books are back in town! (Cue Thin Lizzy spoof!)
The One Dollar Horse is a story of a young girls dreams to overcome her past and become a champion horse rider. Gritty and yet filled with hope it is the first in a trilogy of teen novels, and might I add absolutely gorgeous. With pink page edging reminiscent of the glory days of novels and a classic grey scale horse image on the cover. The second novel (Race The Wind) has blue edging and it looks like the third (Fire Storm), might be destined for red.

The author, Lauren St John was born in Africa and asides from her outstanding children's books has also several golf books spanning her time as a golf correspondent. She has a devote love of animals which is clearly shown across her literature and a deep understanding of emotional turmoil from a young viewpoint.

Pink, horses, book and a comfy couch; must be reading time!

Everyone loves a treat and in this box, there was a strawberry snack bar. Made by Fruit Bowl and called a School Bar it claims to be one of your '5 a day', made with real fruit, no added sugar and only natural flavours and colourings. I can't say I was visually impressed, the big 40p sticker seemed awfully expensive. The bar made it worse by looking a lot like a dogs chew treat. A chew treat it was, definitely not for young teeth or denture wearers. The flavour was lacking for my taste not strong at all. The idea of trying to bite through this stick, for a young child during a break time, seems more than a little hopeful.

Next up is a wearable form of advertising from Miioon featuring 'Ruckjack' a reversible coat that also turns into a backpack. Funky brightly coloured shoelaces with the brands characters, in a lovely mesh bag, accompanied a card leaflet.  the site is linked with Moshi Monsters, AnimaruNickelodeon's TMNT (a poor version of the 80's cartoon), and is a child clothes designers heaven. With options for PJ bottoms, T-shorts, capes and Ruckjacks, it is a simple step by step way to create a personally designed item. The Ruckjack itself  allows you to choose the coat exterior colour, interior pattern and zip toggles with cartoon characters. The coat is reversible, but the patterned inner is also the exterior for the back pack. At £29.99 its definitely cheaper than a lot of big brands, but gives much more options. The delivery varies from £2.50 to £4.95 for next day, but is free if you order two or more products. Any queries there are links at the bottom or contact Mama Oon.
