Box of Awesome Review ~ Box 2

Being savvy enough to guarantee a free Box of Awesome by subscribing I wasn't hugely surprised when this one arrived. Weighing in a lot lighter than the previous one I was very eager to find out what all was hidden away inside.
Much less neon orange ribbon than last time, and the contents seem decidedly paper orientated. There's less in this box than the previous one and the quality of the items are about the same.

As in the first box there are some more OiDroids. This time I gotSnipz, a crab looking one, and Cypops, funnily enough a one eyed robot. They are quite cute, but if your not a collector they are little more than funky origami ornaments.

There was also a Skylanders Giants sticker set. Which serves to successfully encourage and broaden the collection for all Skylanders fans. In the pack were numbers 73, 76, 109, 205, and 214.

Match Attax Extra 2012/2013 five card pack, one holographic. I am ashamed to say I haven't heard of any of these footballers but then again, football isn't my sport of choice: Garry Monk, Eric Lichaj, Andrey Arshavin, Artur Boruc and Urby Emanuelson.

Next up is yet more stickers this time from the Premier League Official sticker collection. Numbers 22, 46, 245, 248 and 292. Partial team shots of Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City. Individual stickers of  Geoff Cameron from Stoke City and Juan Mata from Chelsea.

Also Alien Attax Doctor Who trading cards, which come with a handy how to play instruction guide. I received Dalek Emporer, Rose Tyler, Ace, Penny Carter and Hath Gable. I do love these trading cards, but I think that's because of my inner Doctor Who geek rather than any real love of trading cards.

This was an unexpected surprise, a voucher for £5 for Nickelodeon websites such as Neopets, Monkey Quest and Petpet Park. Ideal for children to encourage online gaming in a safe enviroment without the risks of adding your own financial details. Also upon redeeming the voucher you will receive a  free exclusive virtual item, although it could be a hat for a character...!

The book in this Box of Awesome is Will Solvit and the T-Rex Terror by Zed Storm. First off let me say again how great the inclusion of a book is, great for introducing readers to new authors and to broaden the minds of those stuck in online worlds.
This is the first book in the series and is available to download or print from The Will Solvit website. The website itself shares this about the book :

'Will Solvit is a normal ten-year-old, or so he thinks... until he finds himself dealing with a hungry T-Rex, two lost parents and a broken time-travelling machine. With the help of his dad’s crazy inventions, Will embarks on an action-packed adventure and the mystery just keeps growing.'

A smaller selection of Jelly Bean Factory sweets, helpfully labelled as Gluten, Gelatin, GMO and nut free with no artificial colours or flavours.
Last of all is the Box of Awesome information ; 2 cards with priority codes to share with your friends and information on the BOA un-boxing competition. The competition I find a little unfair after last month, the video's were put into a playlist and every time BOA linked to the entries it came up on the same video. Making it seem if you were one of the first to enter, then you will get more views.
Though they may have rectified that this time by also including a runner up for the most creative video.
In conclusion as good as the first box but perhaps less stickers next time or something more tangible like badges or toys.

  1. The second box is utterly pathetic!
It makes me glad i ordered around 15 boxes for myself using fake email addresses and then didnt bother picking them up from the retarded bybox system :) If they cant be arsed to deliver them then i cant be arsed to pick them up.

    1. I was a bit disappointed myself, but the boxes will only get better if they receive feedback. I was quite surprised at the volume of stickers and cardboard collectables, especially with the football theme. There is also another box called box of OMG perhaps it would be more interesting for you?
