Bzzagent Glade Candle Vanilla Blossom Air Freshener Review

Bzzagent

Well this is the first Bzzagent review for a while, and today's delight from the much missed company is the Glade Candle.

I can honestly say I never expected a candle to need a review, but I'll give it a bash.

Retailing for about £5 in most supermarkets this Glade candle comes with the following product description :

"Awaken your senses with the Glade Jar Candle Romantic Vanilla Blossom. Simply light the wick of these scented candles to quickly fill a room with fragrance infused with essential oils. Notes of rich cherry, creamy vanilla, juicy plum, white orchid and vanilla blossom meet to create the long-lasting scent of sweet serenity."

Well I am obviously uncultured in scents as the only aroma I could define was the vanilla, not a single note of fruit or erroneous flower was detected. The packaging is a simple cardboard sleeve and once removed and recycled it was on to the difficult task of using the product.

Yup, you guessed it, after obviously posing the candle in a generic situation suitable to its claims of romance, I lit the candle. I've never saw the appeal of starting mini fires in a room to incite romance, and no I don't have any affiliation with a firefighting department. But candles are meant to require supervision and surely that negates the concept of romance.

I thought the scent was quite strong before lighting but it didn't get much stronger once lit and took a while to flood a small bathroom with vanilla. It's not a product that would work in
exchange for an air freshener, but as a smelly candle it seems perfectly adequate. Though with the price tag I'm left wondering if the poundland ones wouldn't be much the same result

.

My Bzz pack from the revamped bzzagent has suffered with a distinct lack of coupons to
hand out to friends and family, which would have been ideal as I can't exactly have a troop of people visiting to smell the aroma with the current quarantine.

Glade is an American brand owned by S.C.Johnson & Son they produce a range of household air fresheners that were first introduced in 1956. The family of products include: Aerosol Sprays, Candles, Car Scented Oil, Carpet & Room, Glass Scents, PlugIns, PlugIns Scented Gel, PlugIns Scented Oil, Press'n Fresh, Secrets, Scented Oil Candles.

Bzzagent  used to be a prolific WOM (word of mouth) company with a UK specific site, however they were taken over a couple of years ago and since then have massively neglected the UK site of the franchise.
