Box of OMG Review ~ Box 5

After a break over Christmas this is the fifth Box of OMG to land on our doorsteps. From the individuals who brought us Box of Awesome and aimed mainly at girls. Despite the short break from receiving goodies this box felt a little sparse with a plethora of stickers, a book and some 10p sweets. I had thought this was the normal box, turns out it was the Mega box, apparently bursting with goodies.

First up Monster High stickers from Panini, 5 in a pack and likely retailing for over £1. A popular series from Mattel based around a high school for monsters offspring. With predictable names such as Draculara, Clawdeen Wolf  and  Frankie Stein. My haul this time included numbers; 114, 125, 144, 177 and 183.

Next up 2 packs of Union J stickers again from Panini. I had to Google Search this one, and apparently they are an English boy band who found fame after finishing fourth in X Factor  in 2012 (That's still on air?!). Six stickers in each pack they will delight fans, who are apparently known as JCats. Obviously I'm too old to keep up with the fashion bands of today!

The book in this Box of OMG is Model Under Cover, the first in a new series called Crime of Fashion. Written by an ex-model (Carina Axelsson),  it follows a detective 16 year old solving crimes in the fashion world. Whilst far from realistic; it has a Scooby Doo innocence with all the sassy fashion needs of teenage girls. It was also gleefully snatched from my hands the instant it came in, so must appeal to my daughter.

The Box Of OMG merchandise and cutesy heart print nail file. A card for Swapit, the safe ebay style bidding site designed specifically for children which contains a bonus 50 points. Unfortunately it is the same code that was included in the last 2 boxes, so subscribers miss out on the 50 points. They really need to put out new codes.

Included was also a small pack of HARIBO, a nice touch but I'd prefer to try a new sweet. Something just hitting shops, rather that a 8p mix up which would cost 20p from shops!

Oh and check out the competition on the Box of Awesome review HERE!
