Box of Awesome Review ~ Box 3

Here we go with box 3 of Box of Awesome's latest unveiling of their special goody bundle. As usual there's a very mixed bundle with a hefty amount of collectables and some new comers, including some online offers.

We'll start this review with recurring image of Skylanders Giants. A pack of tattoos containing three temporary tattoos and a sticker pack with four stickers and a holographic one. More information on the Skylander Giants series is available from their website.
There is also the standard Match Attax extra pack with 5 cards(Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Reading and Newcastle). A dinky blue highlighter with a very cool shark logo on the back. Just in time for returning to school, or they had a clear out of the stationary cupboard! A card showcasing a new tablet/ smart phone game with free download from the indie mobile games studio Gone Gaming. Called The Jump: Escape The City and available via the link, its a fast paced hovercraft racing game described by Pocket-lint as 'Temple meets Wipeout'. It features hit singles by DJ Poet of the Black Eyed Peas. There's also an option to download bonus content and enter a high score competition to win a remote control helicopter.
The book in this BOA is by Anthony Horowitz author of the Alex Rider series, this is his departure from his suspenseful spy style teenage novels into the thrilling supernatural. Ravens Gate was released in in August 2005 and is the first in the Power of Five series. With the final book released in October 2010, there's no waiting about for the last book, which is ideal for bookworms of all ages. In select BOA'S there were also 10 signed copies of Raven's Gate distributed at random, and 5 Golden Tickets to win the complete fully signed set. There's also an additional chance to win on the BOA blog post ...HERE!

Also contained was a blind bag of a pre-release Halo Mega Bloks figures, mine was a common figurine in Flood combat form (poor deformed guy never even had a name!). They come in individual pieces and are a little like Lego  figures, even standing on little lego style bases. The range is detailed on the website along with all the vehicles and accessories. I have to admit getting highly collectable items that aren't even in the shops yet is definitely a bonus. BOA is also running a competition to win the Halo UNCS Mantis (The post here). You have until the 17th of August and all it takes is a tweet, what's to lose!

Last of all is the obligatory BOA paperwork and stickers. There's a flyer for a free blind bag of SoccerStarz at WHSmith, I received two flyers and look forward to collection them. The last flyer was for Swapit, the safe ebay style bidding site designed specifically for children and contains a bonus 100 points when you sign up. Considering I first heard of BOA from advertising on Swapit, I'm quite happy that they've continued the partnership.
The Halo figure and the Raven's Gate were my favourite parts and the mini highlighter is definitely cute enough to show off! This was far and away the best Box of Awesome to date, proof to all the doubters that they can not only be popular but a massive success into the bargain!
