Rocking Roku Review

With so many different Television streaming devices on the market it is hard to find one that does something different. The Roku accomplishes that in spades. Working over the internet it streams a wide variety of free and paid for channels directly to your television. Foreign channels, learning, children, radio, movies and all the big names are catered for in a small inoffensive box. Tiny enough to tuck out of side the Roku will look just as attractive nestling with your other gadgets, in fact it should replace a few of them.

The sleekly curved remote offers the opportunity to connect headphones for seamless viewing without disturbing other household members. Ideal for busy households, late night viewing with a small baby, rocking to the radio whilst doing housework or even to simply enjoy your own choice of volume. The availability of apps to control the Roku through your phone or tablet are also an essential tool in today's technology focused market, and negate the worry of a misplaced remote. However the potential streaming is both ways, allowing you to display media (those hundreds of holiday photos or dodgy party videos) for all to enjoy on the main television.

The Roku is available in 3 different versions to suit your needs and budget, and whilst they might be considered pricey to some, there is no subscription required and they are definitely the upgrade your Freeview box was crying out for. Ideal for the tech savvy and those less than talented at deciphering a 300 page manual. Simply put; an intuitive viewing device with looks and style to boot.

As any woman hoping for diamonds this Xmas will know, the best things do come in small packages. On the other hand as any man knows, the best things are hassle free. These are just the sort of thing that I could see being an advantage for grandparents and children alike. Bringing television into the future with minimal fuss and less electric usage than a standard night light. Not to mention the lack of broadband hogging compared with many other media streaming devices, a future proofing must buy.
